The university was visited by Dr. Martin A. Chepesiuk, a neurologist from a clinic in Toronto. During practical sessions at the Department of Neurology, he demonstrated neurological examination techniques to student groups and delivered a lecture for neurology residents and higher education students (2025)

In collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology, a scientific and practical conference with international participation, “The Modern Format of Neurology and Psychiatry: New Horizons in Mental Health Care,” was held on March 20-21, 2025. The conference was opened by Stepan Zaporozhan, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical, and Medical Work at TNMU (pictured standing on the left). The "Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital" welcomed distinguished guests: Prince of Belgium and Baron Bernard de Gerlache, who came to Ternopil region as part of a humanitarian mission by the Ihor Vitenko Foundation. The visitors toured the hospital's infrastructure, learned about trends in the diagnostic and treatment process, and engaged in conversations with medical staff and patients. They highly appreciated the healthcare facility's efforts in providing medical assistance to the local population, internally displaced persons, and military personnel. The Department of Health, together with the Department of Neurology of TNMU, held a scientific and practical seminar and a meeting of the regional society of neurologists titled "Modern Models of Neurological Care for Patients with Acute Stroke, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, and Epilepsy" at "Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital." The chairpersons were Svitlana Shkrobot, Head of the Department of Neurology at I. Horbachevskyi Ternopil National Medical University, and Oleksii Leontiev, Head of the Neurosurgery Department at "Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital." Svitlana Shkrobot delivered the welcoming speech. Within the framework of the international medical partnership programme, TOCPL received a sister hospital in France. A 7-member delegation of the heads of the hospital's neurological and psychiatric departments (including Associate Professor Khrystyna Duve from the department) visited the Paris clinic. We are convinced that strong and fruitful cooperation between the institutions will allow doctors to exchange experience and gain new knowledge from their colleagues in France, and improve the healthcare system both in Ukraine and in France.  Ternopil-based artist Rustam Davletov gives a drawing masterclass for Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation after being seriously injured.  Art therapy helps Ukrainians during the war to overcome fears, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and lost finger motor skills. Associate Professor Khrystyna Duve participated in the international conference "International Day of Older Persons 2023," organized by the National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation in Warsaw, and held under the patronage of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and the World Health Organization (WHO). Khrystyna Duve presented a report on the topic “Problems in Elderly Ukrainians with Chronic Brain Ischemia: Cognition, Behavior, Sleep.” Duve and her colleagues from the National Institute of Geriatrics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation are jointly involved in the CDSMP project from Stanford University (USA) (September 29, 2023)
